Carry on luggage information for flights operated by Horizon and SkyWest
Alaska Airlines serves some locations with smaller aircraft that are operated by Horizon and SkyWest. These smaller aircraft don’t have as much space for cabin bags. You will still be allowed to bring carry on luggage that measures up to 22 x 14 x 9 in / 56 x 36 x 23 cm, however carry on items will be gate checked.
Since certain items are not permitted in checked luggage, and certain items are recommended to be kept in your carry on luggage, make sure your ID, cash and credit cards, valuables, fragile items, medications, laptops, cameras, batteries, other electronics, lighters and matches, electronic cigarettes, etc. are all in your personal item.
Your personal item will remain with you in the cabin of the plane. Please see the Alaska Airlines website for more info about items that are prohibited in carry on and/or checked luggage.
