Air Canada is the flag carrier of Canada. It’s also the country’s largest airline with flights to more than 200 airports on 6 continents. In addition to your carry on item, Air Canada also allows you to bring a personal item. This item must fit under the seat in front of you and comply with the dimensions listed above. Some examples of personal items listed on their website include:
- Carry-on bag, roller bag, backpack, briefcase, laptop
- Cat or small dog in its carrier (but always check the airline’s pet policy on board before booking your ticket)
- Airport shopping and duty-free purchases
- Sport racquet (e.g. tennis, squash, badminton), musical instrument (again, as long as it fits within the dimensions noted above)
- Camera bag, diplomatic or consular bag
- Garment bag (size and weight restrictions apply)
